Synopsis:

The story of *Fate/strange Fake* revolves around an imperfect Holy Grail War, inspired by the Third Holy Grail War in Fuyuki City. Following the Third Holy Grail War, a US-based organization comprised of mages from outside the London Mage’s Association used data from the Fuyuki Holy Grail War to plan their own ritual. Seventy years later, they launched this Holy Grail War, using Snowfield City as their sacred site. However, they failed to perfectly replicate all aspects of the ritual, leaving only a replica, lacking the Saber class, and summoning strange Servants due to the ambiguity surrounding the definition of “Hero.”

The Mage’s Association sends Lohengar and his apprentice Faldeus to Snowfield City to investigate the Holy Grail War. Faldeus, a spy for the US organization, assassinates Lohengar upon arrival, despite knowing he is a puppet. He claims that his Holy Grail War has been in preparation and is real, causing a stir in the Belfry, and expresses his desire to “promote” the project to the Association.
